This statement describes our website accessibility practices, how to request assistance, and how to provide feedback if you encounter a barrier.

Our Commitment
Aiea Pearl City Dental Care LLP ("the Practice") is committed to ensuring that patients and visitors with disabilities can access the information, services, and resources available on this website. We believe that equal access to healthcare information is fundamental, and we work to remove digital barriers wherever reasonably practicable.
We are committed to the principles of equal access, effective communication, and reasonable accommodation as required by Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable Hawaii law, including Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 489.
Accessibility Standard
The Practice uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as its accessibility reference standard. These guidelines, developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), are widely recognized as the benchmark for accessible web design and help ensure that web content is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for users with a range of disabilities.
We work toward WCAG 2.1 AA conformance across our website as part of an ongoing accessibility improvement process. Because website content, third-party integrations, assistive technologies, and accessibility standards continually evolve, we cannot guarantee full conformance with every guideline on every page at all times.
The Department of Justice's April 2024 Final Rule on web accessibility establishes WCAG 2.1 AA as the technical standard for Title II entities (state and local governments). As a private dental practice, the Practice is governed by ADA Title III, for which no specific technical web accessibility regulation has yet been finalized. The Practice voluntarily adopts WCAG 2.1 AA as its reference standard and remains committed to the ADA Title III requirements of equal access and effective communication.
Accessibility Features
Our website is designed and maintained with accessibility in mind. Current and intended accessibility features include:
Meaningful images include descriptive alternative text (alt text) to support screen readers and assistive technologies.
Logical heading hierarchy and semantic HTML structure to support navigation by screen readers and keyboard users.
Website features are designed to be operable using keyboard-only navigation where technically feasible.
Content is structured to be compatible with common screen readers and text-to-speech assistive technologies.
Text and background color combinations are selected with sufficient contrast to assist users with low vision.
Website content is designed to remain readable when text is resized up to 200% using standard browser controls.
We continue to evaluate and improve these features as part of our ongoing accessibility review process.
Assistive Technologies
Our website is intended to be compatible with common assistive technologies. Many devices and operating systems also include built-in accessibility features that may enhance your experience:
- Screen readers: Apple VoiceOver (Mac and iOS), Windows Narrator, NVDA, and JAWS.
- Screen magnification: Built-in zoom features in Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, as well as browser zoom (Ctrl/Cmd + to enlarge text).
- Speech recognition: Dragon NaturallySpeaking and built-in voice control features in Windows and macOS support voice navigation of web pages.
- Closed captioning: Videos hosted on YouTube include captioning options. Learn how to enable captions on YouTube.
- Browser translation: Most modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox) include built-in translation tools to view this page in your preferred language.
If you encounter difficulty using our website with your assistive technology, please contact us — we will work with you to ensure effective access to the information you need.
Effective Communication and Alternative Access
The ADA requires places of public accommodation to provide effective communication to individuals with disabilities. If any portion of our website is inaccessible to you — whether due to a disability, assistive technology limitation, or technical barrier — we will provide the information through an accessible alternative communication method.
Patients and visitors who need assistance accessing information about our services, appointment scheduling, office policies, clinical records, patient forms, or any other website content are encouraged to contact us directly:

Third-Party Content
This website may contain links to, integrations with, or content provided by third-party vendors and service providers, including but not limited to mapping services, online scheduling platforms, patient portals, payment processors, and video hosting platforms. The Practice does not own or control these third-party platforms and cannot guarantee their accessibility, usability, or conformance with any accessibility standard.
Where we have the ability to select or configure third-party tools, we consider accessibility as part of that decision. We encourage third-party providers used by the Practice to meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
If a third-party service integrated into our website presents an accessibility barrier for you, please contact us and we will make reasonable efforts to provide the information or service through an accessible alternative.

Ongoing Accessibility Review
Website accessibility is an ongoing process, not a one-time project. We are committed to regularly reviewing our website content and features to identify and address accessibility barriers as they arise. Our review process includes:
- Periodic review of website pages and features against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria
- Evaluation of new content and features for accessibility before or upon publication
- Review of feedback received from users about accessibility barriers
- Assessment of third-party integrations for accessibility impact
This Accessibility Statement is reviewed and updated periodically to reflect the current state of our website and our ongoing accessibility efforts. The most recent review date is shown at the top of this page.
Nondiscrimination
Our commitment to accessibility is part of our broader commitment to nondiscrimination. We do not discriminate against patients or visitors on the basis of disability or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal or Hawaii law.
For a complete description of the Practice's nondiscrimination commitments, patient rights, accommodation request procedures, and complaint processes, please review our Notice of Nondiscrimination and Accessibility.
If you believe you have experienced disability discrimination in connection with your access to this website or the Practice's services, you may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice ADA Information Line at (800) 514-0301 or at ADA.gov/filing-a-complaint, or with the Hawaii Civil Rights Commission at (808) 586-8636.
