‘Aiea Pearl City Dental Care is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to the widest possible audience, including individuals with disabilities. We strive to make our website usable and accessible in accordance with generally recognized accessibility standards and best practices.

Our goal is to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, which are widely recognized as the standard for accessible website design. These guidelines help make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and improve usability for everyone.

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires businesses open to the public to provide equal access to services and information, including digital services such as websites.

Our website is designed with accessibility in mind and may include features such as:

  • Text alternatives for images where appropriate

  • Logical heading and page structure

  • Keyboard navigation compatibility

  • Compatibility with screen readers and assistive technologies

  • Color contrast considerations to assist users with low vision

Assistive technologies such as screen readers and text-to-speech software can read webpage content aloud to users.

Many modern devices also include built-in accessibility features, such as:

If you are looking for mouse and keyboard alternatives , speech recognition software such as Dragon Naturally Speaking may help you navigate web pages and online services. This software allows the user to move focus around a web page or application screen through voice controls.

If you are deaf or hard of hearing, there are several accessibility features available to you.

Closed Captioning

Closed captioning provides a transcript for the audio track of a video presentation that is synchronized with the video and audio tracks. Captions are generally visually displayed over the video, which benefits people who are deaf and hard of hearing, and anyone who cannot hear the audio due to noisy environments. Learn how to turn captioning on and off in YouTube .

Volume Controls

Your mobile device, tablet or computer has volume control features. Each video and audio service has its own additional volume controls. Try adjusting both your device’s volume controls and your media players’ volume controls to optimize your listening experience.

Ongoing Efforts

We continually review and update our website to improve accessibility and usability. Accessibility is an ongoing process, and we are committed to identifying and addressing accessibility barriers when they arise.

Third-Party Content

Some pages may include content provided by third-party vendors or external platforms that we do not control. While we encourage these vendors to provide accessible content, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party components.
