Aiea Pearl City Dental Care is excited to offer the convenience of same day crown technology to our patients. The process involves taking digital  scans of the patient's teeth rather than using the traditional gooey materials. This digital data is generated into a 3D model by a computer. The new crown is then designed through numberous checkpoints to create a functional, beautiful, and dependable crown. The data is wireless sent to a machine like a 3D printer. This computer controlled machine then creates the new crown out of a block of porcelain. After custom shading, staining and glazing, the crown is then baked in a high heat oven over 900 degrees celsius which crystallizes the porcelain into a very beautiful yet strong material.
